Frequently asked questions.
Everything about getting paid as a clipper or launching a campaign as a brand. Can’t find what you’re looking for? Get in touch.
Launching a campaign
Funded campaigns start at $1,000. The full budget is escrowed via Stripe before the campaign goes live — clippers only get paid out of cleared escrow.
No. Sign up as a brand, fund a campaign through Stripe, and you’re live. There’s no demo call, no sales gauntlet, no quarterly contract.
Once your $1K+ budget is funded and your treatment passes a quick content review, the campaign appears on the Explore board within minutes.
Yes — treatment copy, examples, and creative guidelines can be updated while the campaign is live. Payout rules and budget caps are locked once the first clipper joins.
Payouts
After you approve a submission, you have four days out of a seven-day period to review it for botting in the Payouts tab. After the seven days, the money earned will be deposited into the clipper’s Stripe-connected balance.
The full campaign budget sits in a Stripe-managed escrow account. Clipper payouts only release from escrow after their clips clear organic-reach verification. Unspent budget can be pulled back to your card at any time.
When you launch, you set a per-clip cap (e.g., $200/clip) alongside your CPM. Once a clip hits that ceiling, it stops earning out of your budget regardless of additional views.
Yes. Any portion of your budget that hasn’t been committed to approved clips can be refunded back to your funding source on demand.
Agencies & billing
Yes. An 8% fee is taken from the budget for verified agencies, and a 10% fee is taken for unverified agencies. Direct-brand campaigns pay a flat 7% platform fee.
Submit verification documents (business registration, prior campaign references) through your agency settings. Verified status drops your platform rate from 10% to 8% on every campaign you run going forward.
Yes. Every funded campaign generates a downloadable PDF invoice in your agency dashboard, itemising budget, platform fee, and per-clipper payouts.
Review process & flagging
A submission is automatically flagged when the bot confidence score goes above 70%, which indicates that the submission is possibly botted.
Once you approve a submission, you have seven days to flag it so the clipper does not get paid out.
Click on the yellow flag button to send the submission to the manual review team. They will review it in depth and determine if it is botted.
The Flagged tab helps you review submissions that may be botted. You can approve them if they’re clean, reject them if they’re botted, or escalate them to manual review if you’re unsure.
Yes. Brand control is absolute on the review queue — you can approve, reject, or request changes on every submission. Rejection costs the clipper nothing and costs you nothing.
Fixing approval & rejection mistakes
Yes. Go to the Approved tab and press the red Reject button.
Yes. Go to the Rejected tab and press the green Accept button.
Campaign management
Click on the Export CSV button on the Analytics tab and choose the data you want to export.
You don’t need to create a new campaign. Just click the yellow Top Up button and add your desired amount.
By default, any verified Obscure Exhibit clipper can submit to your campaign. If you need tighter sourcing (minimum follower count, specific verticals, etc.), you can set gating rules in the campaign settings.
Yes. Invite-only campaigns are supported — share an invite link and only those clippers can submit, even if the campaign is otherwise live on the board.
No cap. Budget is the only ceiling — once your funded budget runs out, the campaign goes inactive until you top up.
